Good to know

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) registers industrial and investment projects; applications are made in BIDA's online One Stop Service (OSS). Manufacturing and service industries can be registered; BIDA registration is not mandatory for ordinary trading businesses.

  • BIDA registration alone does not remove the need for other licences; further approvals may be needed depending on the type and location of the project.
  • BIDA's registration fee depends on the size of the project investment and can change; we tell you the current rate when you apply.
  • Foreign investment must also follow Bangladesh Bank's applicable reporting and foreign exchange rules.

What you receive: BIDA registration letter, copies of the filed application and attachments, and a checklist of further approvals.
